Business Communications is designed to give students the basic knowledge and skills necessary to accurately present themselves with oral communication and written correspondence within the framework of the business environment.
This course will enhance reading comprehension, grammar usage, and mechanics in written communication, research, and presentation skills. Fundamental language and human relation skills will be emphasized to show their effects on effective vs. ineffective communication. |
Verbal CommunicationsStudents will learn how to sharpen their skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making with practice in courteous and responsible small group and team communication.

Written CommunicationsStudents take on roles as business professionals where they will learn to analyze, anticipate, and adapt as well as research, organize, and compose written messages, presentations, and web pages skillfully.

Team Work and Workplace ListeningStudents work with teams to develop a quarter-long development of a business plan incorporating ethical responsibilities, intercultural aspects, various team roles, conflict resolution, and workforce diversity.
